The Word Painters is a reading program designed to foster a love of reading through activities and book shares. It is expected that all students will participate with an eagerness that exemplifies the best character. There are only three rules: Be Kind, Be Respectful and Be Responsible. We are not a harsh group of ladies and the goal of the program is for everyone to come and have a blast! However, if a child is exhibiting consistent severely disruptive behavior there will be consequences. How is this enforced you may ask? Well, each child starts the program with three stars. If during one of our sessions a child looses a star the parents will receive a note stating why that star was removed. Upon the removal of a child's third and final star, said child will not be welcomed back to the program. We have never had this happen and we hope it never will, This is an environment where every child is welcomed and loved no matter who they may be.
